In times that can feel fast-moving, uncertain, and chaotic, the simple act of sensing can become deeply meaningful. Sensory Awareness invites us to pause, notice, and reconnect with the immediacy of experience — with ourselves, with others, and with the world around us.
Through this four-session summer series, Fernando Gil and Marsha Glassey invite participants into an ongoing rhythm of practice, reflection, and embodied listening. Rather than a drop-in class, Sensing Sundays offers a space for continuity, depth, and connection over time — a place to explore what becomes possible when we slow down enough to truly sense.
Sensing Sundays 2026 — Series 3 is a four-session, bi-weekly online series offering a sustained rhythm of practice throughout the summer. Designed as an extended journey rather than a drop-in class, this series supports continuity, depth, and connection over time.
Participants are invited to deepen sensory awareness, presence, and embodied listening through live practice, shared reflection, and integration between sessions.
This series will be led collaboratively by Fernando Gil and Marsha Glassey, whose backgrounds in Sensory Awareness, embodiment practices, and contemplative traditions bring complementary perspectives and depth to the shared exploration.
Each 90-minute gathering takes place live on Zoom and is designed to be accessible, spacious, and supportive of both new and returning participants.
Series 3 includes four bi-weekly, 90-minute live sessions. The shared leadership model offers both continuity and the richness of diverse voices and perspectives within the field of practice.
If cost is a concern, please reach out. Partial and full scholarships are available, and we are committed to keeping this work accessible.
Fernando Gil is a practitioner of Tibetan Buddhism in the Karma Kagyu lineage, having taken refuge in 1989. He is the creator of the MAD meditation courses and regularly facilitates Sensory Awareness classes and seminars. He leads summer retreats designed to reconnect with what is present in our lives and to create a space for regeneration, combining Sensory Awareness, meditation, and yoga as skillful means of returning to oneself.
Fernando is also a kinesiologist and osteopath, which gives him a deep understanding of bodily processes and allows him to bring embodied presence into his teaching.
Marsha Glassey studied with Charlotte Selver and Charles Brooks from 1974 through 2001, participating in several study groups and workshops in Mexico, California, Maine, and Germany. Her background as an occupational therapist and massage therapist blends beautifully with Sensory Awareness and informs her work with yoga students and groups.
Currently, she is deeply involved in the compassionate movement to help preserve children’s bodily integrity and medical freedom in the U.S. and internationally.
