Sensory Awareness is a practice of mind/body re-education which focuses on reawakening a greater whole hearted connection with life in the moment.
As offered in a class setting or in individual sessions its experiential focus provides practical and essential practice in progressively deepening the ability to sense the here-and-now living realities of breathing, movement, gravity, balance, energy, touch and more.
Similar in aim to many types of meditation and mindfulness practice, this non dogmatic, and self empowering practice helps us develop a greater capacity for fuller authenticity and aliveness.
For over 60 years its students have found this life affirming study to be helpful for expanding human potential, stress reduction and promoting important health enhancing benefits for body, mind and spirit.

Charlotte Selver Five Year Memorial
Soon after her death in 2003 a beautiful memorial stone was placed in one of Charlotte Selver’s favorite places close to her home in Muir Beach overlooking the Pacific ocean.
In August of this year at this site the SAF conducted a memorial event honoring this wonderful teacher on this the fifth anniversary of her passing. The occasion included the setting in of a special plaque next to this stone.
